Priyal’s combined patience and experience make her a highly qualified teacher… she is able to articulate her skills and knowledge in a way that even a young child can understand, making each lesson both fun and increasingly challenging so that students can truly master fundamentals as they progress.
She originally taught our oldest daughter, and when our youngest was old enough to start lessons we knew we didn’t want to look anywhere else. Priyal is very patient and kind with children, and works to develop a good rapport with them so that they look forward to each lesson with her. She is very reliable and stays in communication with us regarding scheduling and progress. She is truly a wonderful teacher.
My daughters have been learning piano from Svara Music Studio for more than 3 years. Priyal is an amazingly talented music teacher. Ms. Priyal started teaching our oldest son 3.5 years ago and today is teaching all three of our boys. She is very dedicated and passionate about her craft, is very professional and punctual, and yet very personable and approachable. She keeps us informed of our boys’ progress and is not passive when it comes to letting us know when one of our boys is behind with their lessons and homework. This is an invaluable trait for a teacher and is very important to us as parents since we cannot always track everything going on with our kids. As a result, our boys are progressing really well beyond our expectations. Ms. Priyal is classically trained and we think that classical music is the best foundation. Our oldest is now playing Bach pieces which we love to hear, and his progress is also influencing our younger boys to keep up and Ms. Priyal is right there to make sure they get there too!

OUR LEGACY
Our founder, Western Classically trained pianist Priyal Shah comes from a renowned family of Indian Musicians. Her grandfather, late Mr. Kalyanji Shah (of Kalyanji-Anandji fame) and father Mr. Viju Shah are award winning music composers in Bollywood. Having a natural knack for teaching, over the course of his life, Mr. Kalyanji has groomed and mentored numerous singers and musicians who have now become some of the most famous artists in the Indian entertainment industry.
At Svara, we honour and intend to continue to inspire bright young minds to explore their musicality. Under her grandfather’s tutelage, Priyal has observed and experienced the wonders of his teaching style and is committed to taking this legacy forward and spreading the joy of music.
TEACHERS
Our founder Priyal holds a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Piano Performance and has also taught music theory and piano at the university level.
Our teachers also have advanced college degrees in music and are passionate about music education.
WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY
Unlike other music studios, we don’t use the same method books for every student that walks into our doors. Some may learn better with a method book, while some may benefit from a less structured approach. In doing so, we provide a tailor made music course suited specifically for each student.

Be it Classical, Pop, Broadway, Band, Jazz or even Indian Classical and Bollywood music, we are happy and able to teach it all!
COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING
Apart from focusing on playing, we give equal importance to music theory, composition and performance. This is highly beneficial when our students decide to learn multiple instruments.
MUSIC EXAMS
We offer to prepare you or your child for board certified and internationally recognized music and theory exams. We are currently preparing students for the Trinity College and/or ABRSM music exams.
LOCATION
Our location is ideal for those coming from Vinings, Smyrna and Marietta. We are right off of I-75, within close distance to several schools.
